Good BME program with ample opportunities for research, networking, and professional development. The program is well established, well funded, and well organized by professional staff and faculty. It sets up students for post-graduate success in academia, industry, and the public sector.
Course Curriculum
The course curriculum is split into developing a strong engineering skillset toolbox during the first 2 years and classes honing those skills in specific areas in the latter 2 years. While intuitively this makes sense, it does prevent people from fully understanding the field they have chosen until the later part of their college career. It could be improved by integrating some of these higher-level topics earlier so that students have more time to explore other areas instead of committing blindly in their junior year.
Exams
SAT - 2280/2400, GRE - 165/167/5. Various AP and IB exams. I did not take any other exams but need to hit the 100 character limit.
Fees
Fees included those for tuition, room and board, various computational charges, activities fees, etc.
Scholarship
Financial aid is determined by FAFSA and the aid office. You just submit the right forms and that's it. I believe all applicants are considered for scholarships.
Examination Structure
Depends on the class, but usually a few midterms and a final exam or presentation. Exams may be written or oral or practical in nature.
Faculty
Mostly very dedicated to not only teaching but ensuring that students are ready to advance and contribute to their chosen fields of interest. They are easy to reach and most have an open-door policy.
