They have one of the best pharmacy programs that's only 6 years and relatively inexpensive. I also had a friend attend the university before me and loved his experience which inspired me to apply for a visit and I loved it.
Course Curriculum
The curriculum is quite challenging but also very interesting and helpful to know. It takes a lot of study and preparation to be successful in the courses. The curriculum they provide really ensures that you are prepared for your occupation in the future.
Exams
I took the SAT and ACT before applying to college and then took the PCAT for pharmacy school and got a 35.
Placement
There are so many job opportunities available if you seek one out and the faculty are always happy to assist with this. Being in Toledo we are surrounded by a lot of pharmacy job opportunities such as rite aid and Kroger.
Internship
They did not provide internships but in the professional program, there are IPPES and APPES. This gives you an opportunity to work at various different kinds of pharmacies to get an idea of what kind of pharmacist you want to be in the future.
Events
We celebrate women in pharmacy, Hygeia day and many other health science celebrations. Most of these are a big celebration in my pharmacy sorority LKS and are also celebrated around campus to get other students involved.
Fees
There are a lot of fees of course because of the fact being you are in pharmacy school. There are lab fees, application fees, and a lot of other miscellaneous fees all to make sure you have the best experience possible while spending 4 years in the professional division.
Scholarship
Yes! There are a lot of scholarships out there for pharmacy specific majors and also some for other majors as well. Of course, I get some aid from the university due to income as well. It's really easy to find opportunities on the UT website under the scholarship tab.
Examination Structure
The exam structure depends on the class. A lot of them use score sheets for multiple choice and then there are some questions that need to be written out. Most exams are similar to this and cover a couple of chapters at a time.
Faculty
The faculty is one of my favorites things about the college. They are so helpful and kind and really have your genuine interest at heart. The faculty is kind of like your pharmacy family and you always have someone to go to for anything even if it's not pharmacy related.
Hostel
I live on campus and have lived on campus for the last 2 years. For me personally, I like being on campus close to the action and it's just a lot more convenient for me. Unfortunately, the main campus where I live is a little far from the health science campus so I'm still debating on whether I should move to off-campus housing in the fall of next year.
