Dan Review at Syracuse University, Syracuse | Collegedunia

Average School Experience - Syracuse University

D
8.0 /10

Beautiful campus, good location, sports, and school pride, and of course great academics. The housing is great and the student body is diverse enough and is the faculty. It has a good enough reputation and a great social life.

Course Curriculum :

Above average school but not elite. The course catalog was quite expansive and the professors were, by and large, knowledgeable and proficient in their areas of expertise. They also made themselves available during office hours quite often.

Exams :

I took the SAT, the ACT, multiple SAT2 exams. My scores were in the high range but not elite. I don't recall any specific exams the university required that came directly from them.

Fees :

Syracuse is very expensive. Tuition is high and room/board is high too. Also, most professors make you buy their textbook which they wrote and those are pricey as well.

Faculty :

Great professors by and large. They offer a diverse course catalog and find professors that are proficient and knowledgeable and are often available to engage with students off-hours.

Hostel :

The dorms are incredibly nice for college dorms. You won't be disappointed. Several different living options as well. There are singles, doubles, triples (suites), rooms with wall dividers, south campus luxury apartments.
