It was close in proximity to my home, has great academics and faculty, chill atmosphere/vibe, beautiful campus, lots of resources and opportunities, highly ranked University, students who go here are happy
Course Curriculum
The courses here can be very intense and rigorous (since a lot of them are year-long classes condensed into one quarter) but there are a lot of resources (plentiful office hours, tutoring, TAs) to help you! I think the course curriculum, despite its fast pace, is very thorough and definitely trains you to apply what you learned.
Exams
SAT, SAT subject tests (chemistry and math II), ACT, AP (human geography, calculus BC, language and composition, music theory, chemistry).
Fees
Tuition without financial aid is approximately $50k per year plus about $20k for room and board. Stanford is needed blind, and pretty generous with financial aid though!
Examination Structure
Most classes have between 1-3 midterms every few weeks and then a final. The exam structure really depends on the class subject, because some are free response and some are multiple choice. Exams can definitely be stressful but manageable as long as you are good at time management.
Faculty
They're very knowledgeable and have lots of experience in research and their field. Most of them are very helpful and approachable and willing to answer questions on anything!
