The campus is very pretty and professors are very intelligent and well-respected, especially in the economics and TMP programs.

They offered the best financial aid package. Also, the beachside location of Isla Vista, the college town adjacent to the school, was very appealing. Academics were also important when choosing school.

Course Curriculum

8

The curriculum isn?t too difficult, but they grade on a top 6% get an A scale, which means even if you get an A in the course, you might get a B or lower on your transcript it's a bad grading standard in that employers won?t know whether or not you actually understand the material.

Exams

SAT, AP testing for AP BC Calculus, AP Stats, AP Gov, AP US History, AP World History, AP Literature, AP Language.

Placement

7

There are opportunities for students to work on campus at the dining commons and as peer advisors and office assistants in the various major departments. We also have on campus Subways and Starbucks and the bookstore that offer employment.

Internship

No there is no internship. Work study allotment is a thing, but that's all through FAFSA. There are jobs available on campus though for students seeking work, at the dining commons and working as peer advisors and office assistants.

Fees

Different quarters have different expenses. I don't know what the fee structure means in the question, but if you're interested in the tuition and the like, you can check out UCSB?s page and there's all the info there an estimated cost of attendance.

Examination Structure

Most classes have two or three midterm exams and then finals. Quarters are 10 weeks of material followed by a week of finals. The finals are typically cumulative, and most classes are graded on a curve.

Faculty

10

The faculty at the college are very helpful. Office hours are held weekly and if a professor misses it, they will let us know.
