As a teen mom, going to college is something harder to do. The DFC made me hopeful that I could go to college and raise my baby at the same time. The DFC offers a lot of support academically and personally.
Course Curriculum
I enjoy the classes I take, they're fun but challenging at the same time. The professors always adjust to the student's needs. The most difficult classes I have taken so far have been conservation biology and finite mathematics.
Exams
The DFC really didn't look at certain exams and didn't require any. I just submitted my ACT score and my GPA.
Internship
Yes. I personally haven't had an internship yet; I'm in the process of obtaining my internship. I have to do some training and inform the woman running the internship program what my interests are. Most of the internships pay between 11 and 12 dollars.
Fees
There was no fee to apply, however, there was a $50 fee to confirm we were attending DFC / to save our spot.
Examination Structure
We have at least 2/3 exams, and a final. Exams are proctored when taken on a computer. We sit with one seat in between students. For finals, multiple students are in a big room taking the test at the same time.
Faculty
All of the professors and staff are very nice, help us understanding. They really understand when the majority of the class isn't understanding a topic and they go more into detail with it; while still staying on course with the syllabus.
