Reasons why I chose UT Dallas for my masters program are as follows: Cost of attendance : I had a better freshman scholarship at Dallas. .Enrollment numbers and smaller class sizes and this would result in smaller class sizes and less number of faculty members enhancing the quality of education. UTD provides many resources and experience to assist us during our time at UTD.
Course Curriculum
The course curriculum is strictly relevant to the Industry demands and UTD provides many resources and experiences to assist us during our time at UTD for instance students will be given access to enough boot camps organized by the university before the commencing of the course and this helps us to get bit ready for our courses. Students will also be given free access to various sites like datacamp for self-practice and learning and will be given opportunities to complete certifications.
Exams
Almost every college in the States requires students to appear for Standard tests such as GRE/GMAT and IELTS/TOFEL. But apart from this, a student must have a minimum GPA of 3 in the undergraduate program. Along with the scores of standardized tests, the student must submit one SOP and a minimum of two-letter of recommendation to support their application. I appeared for GRE and IELTS. MY GRE Score was 316 with 152 and 164 in English and Quant respectively and I scored 7.5 Band in IELTS.
Placement
UTD actually invites Amazon and Microsoft in campus for their internship programs and a good chunk of people are interned at both the companies. All sorts of companies hire UT Dallas students. Of course a lot rides on your visa status, STEM OPT extension and what you can actually offer them in terms of skills. There are career fairs and companies visiting the campus and the career website posts internship opportunities. While those are not that many as compared to LinkedIn or Indeed, apply to all that interest you. The UTD Alumni crowd is spread all over the country and one can always find someone or the other to ask questions and forward their resumes so networking is important. The school has a dedicated Career Management Centre that helps employers connect with graduates. This enables the students to get a brief look at the professional world and to encourage networking through different occasions, projects, workshops, and nearby selecting administrations. The students who graduate from MSBA program can get positions of a data engineer, data scientist, business intelligence analyst, data analyst, business intelligence consultant, risk analyst, strategic business analyst, pricing analyst, marketing analyst, big data engineer, and fraud analyst. The graduates from UT Dallas Jindal School of Management go on to work with major organizations across various domains. Here are few companies where students mainly get placed: Deloitte Paypal Amazon Ericsson AT&T Dr. First America Source Begin Blue Cross Blue Shield ALN Apartment Data, INC FedEx Services Southwest Airlines Essilor HP According to the reports of the Bureau of Labor Statistics, professionals in business analytics get an average salary of $95,000 with a projected growth rate of 30% by 2026. Jindal School of Management has a consistent placement rate of 90% within a period of 3 months of graduation
Internship
I am still in the first semester so I haven't opted for any internships yet.
Events
First of all, ISSO provides immigration information and support to UT Dallas students through workshops, individual student advising and outreach. and UTD host the largest hackathon in North Texas. There is a lot of research going on at UT Dallas. Students are encouraged to pursue what they are interested in. There are various intercultural programs and there are over 250 Student Organizations at UTD that helps us giving myriad opportunities to explore and to have campus placements. There are various UTD Resources such as : Career Center that helps us with Resume assistance, interview training, and career workshops. Health Center which is free for all UTD students and includes health insurance. Activity Center which is also free for all UTD students and includes Fitness center, pool, climbing wall etc. and small groups for studies and discussions. There are lots of good clubs and societies like SWE,ACM, toastmasters, etc who would have several meetings that would help you with finding like minded people and also have talks from professionals from similar fields giving their insights about day to day life on the job. The chess team, soccer team, basketball team, many other teams have achieved significant press in the last 5–6 years and their are many major sports. The activities in campus are also pretty nice. Free swags in summer, ice, and any other students activities were enough for me to make new friends and enjoy student life. There were also events that's related to my career so I can network and met new people. Free gym access, and free cinema were pretty fun. Make use of that and there are a lot of international students (mostly from China and India) that took their masters degree.

Faculty
The student-faculty ratio at University of Texas at Dallas is 24:1, and the school has 20.3% of its classes with fewer than 20 students. Professors are quite friendly and thus are flexible and easy to approach and each professor has TA's and thus it makes it much easier for students to clear any doubts or queries regarding any topic.
Hostel
There are various apartments at the walking distance from the campus and which are quite economical. You can have a single room as well as in sharing. There are many configurations available and the respective terms are as follows: 1b (1 bed), 1b1b (1 bed 1 bath), 2b (2 bed) etc. You can also find studio apartments. The average rental cost will be around $500 per month including Wi-Fi and other amenities.
