I loved how small the school is and how specific the program is. It's exactly what I want to do, and the classes support my goals. At Chapman, I felt like I was going to be at an intellectual balance that both challenged me and made me feel comfortable.

Course Curriculum

8

The subjects are exactly what I want to study, at least for my major. I have a wide variety of options, and I can choose what I want even within the major. My classes allow me to become a better writer, a better public relations professional, and a better learner in general. Also, the general education classes have a lot of options and even though there are some subjects I'd rather not take, like science, there are other opportunities. For example, I took a nutrition class to fulfill that requirement.

Exams

SAT 2060, I did not take any other exams for college preparation. I did not take the ACT, IELTS, GRE, or anything else.

Internship

Chapman doesn't directly provide internships, but they have a Career Development Center that offers a lot of help and internship fairs to connect students with employers. They also will count internships for class credit.

Fees

Chapman is a pretty expensive university. without any financial aid or scholarships, it's about $60,000 per school year. However, 87% of students to use some form of scholarship and financial aid so Chapman does a great job of offering help to its students.

Scholarship

Chapman offers a lot of financial aid to students. The school does an amazing job with scholarships. If you did well in high school, you'll get a great scholarship. Even a 3.5 GPA can get you $16,000 a year in scholarship money, which greatly alleviates the financial burden that paying Chapman tuition can be.

Examination Structure

There is one finals week per semester. During the week, there are only finals. You don't have classes during the week. Some classes have finals that are exams, while others may have a presentation or a project. Also, some classes have midterms but there is no set midterm week.

Faculty

10

The faculty at Chapman are extremely helpful. I have had a good relationship with every single professor, and all of them have known my name. They are willing to go above and beyond for students and help them out in any way they can. I've talked with professors during their office hours and other times, even when they weren't scheduled to be on campus.

Hostel

Freshman year I lived in a dorm with two other girls. It was nice, but a little bit crowded. Chapman is nice because there are no hall bathrooms. Each room either shares a bathroom or has their own, so no matter what your bathroom is connected to your room and you don't have to awkwardly go down the hall in your towel. Sophomore year I lived in a sophomore dorm with one roommate, and we had our own bathroom. we had a dining hall too. Junior year I live in an off-campus apartment with three other people, and I like it. It's about a mile away from campus, and I get to cook my own meals.
