The beautiful campus, academic excellence, alumni network, best college town in Ohio, perfect 3-hour distance from home, good class sizes not too big but not miniature. When I toured I was amazed by the campus, the brick buildings, perfect landscaping, and enchanting uptown streets took my breath away.

Course Curriculum

9

I am a huge fan of the curriculum at Miami. It contains lecture-style classes, hands-on labs, and even internship/practicum experiences. My classes challenge me to put forth maximum effort at all times while reassuring me that I am smart enough to be at this university. I feel valued in my program as well.

Exams

I took the ACT senior year of high school in order to apply to multiple colleges. I will go on to take the GRE this summer to apply for dietetic internships next year. I have not taken any other standardized tests at Miami.

Placement

10

The job opportunities out of Miami are outstanding. The alumni network allows students to connect with people already in their desired position and professors and advisors are great at linking us to this alumni network.

Internship

Miami helps students get internships every single year. Our career fair is huge with endless opportunities for various majors. Most majors require internship credits as well, so this pushes students to search for internships.

Events

10

Our university promotes diversity and therefore we celebrate a variety of holidays including religious holidays across the board. We have too many student organizations that celebrate different holidays for groups of people as well. This makes me feel very welcome always.

Fees

The tuition is a bit hefty but you can see the payoff around campus in all of the beautiful buildings and facilities. Parking is a big fee that students struggle with due to limited space in Oxford. Meal fees are normal for any college and the food is ranked in the nation.

Scholarship

I personally do not have a scholarship but most everyone I know does. It doesn't seem too hard to come by, but ACT and high school grade point average is a big part of it.

Examination Structure

Exam structures vary, but typically scores can be obtained days after the exam is taken and formatting is fair to class material. It is nice to not have to wait weeks to receive feedback on exams and Canvas allows us to allows being checking up on our grades and see the average scores on exams.

Faculty

7

The faculty at my college are for the most part very accredited and respectful people. I feel I can talk to my professors one on one and get advice from them without being a bother.

Hostel

9

On-campus housing is easy to come by and random for the first year. After the first year, one can pick their housing based on the timeslot they are assigned. Off-campus housing must be reserved years in advance.
