I opted for this college because I wanted to play sports while getting my degree. Stout allowed me to play at the division 3 level while getting a degree in something I loved. The school is a very hands-on learning environment that I loved.
Course Curriculum
The course curriculum is very good. It includes a variety of subjects and areas of study that all students need to earn credits. Some of the general education curricula involve contemporary issues, global perspective, and natural sciences.
Exams
I took the ACT in high school and then I also had to take a placement exam for Stout to help me decide which general education courses to begin at.
Fees
For fees, you have your tuition fees, room and board, textbook rentals, and the other miscellaneous fees to cover different things. All the fees are placed on your student account and paid before you can register for the next semester classes.
Examination Structure
The exam structure is different for every major and every course. Some courses have 3-4 big exams throughout the semester and some courses are project based so you may have quizzes throughout the semester and then you end with a project. It is a medium sized school with friendly students and staff. There is a lot of opportunity for sports, extracurriculars, and work.
Faculty
The faculty of the college is very dedicated to help students succeed. They always have open office hours and work well with the students for any extra help. They bring their own experiences in the field that they teach which helps guide the experience.
