Is there any amount we have to pay to KISS for the education ?

No, education at the institute is totally free for all. No side amount has to be given from the students.

Are children from North-eastern States also eligible for admission in KISS ?

Yes, children from North-eastern States including Sikkim are eligible for admission in three institutes. Only condition is that the child has to be from BPL.

How is the participation of Girls in the institute ?

About 60% of the total 26642 students are girls which is a large number in a country like India. Girls from BPL section are encouraged to join the institute and that's why given preference during admission.

Can a student opt for higher studies in the Institute ?

Yes, interested students can go for higher studies, which is provided in KIIT where 5% seats are reserved for KISS students.

The applications of the candidates are scrutinized by the institute and the list of selected candidates is released based on the marks in qualifying examinations for UG courses and based on the marks scored in entrance exams for PG courses.

After that the candidates are granted admissions upon verification of required documents.

The candidates who belong to Scheduled Caste (ST) category and have completed 10+2 from Odisha Board or any other recognized board are eligible to apply.
For being eligible to B.Sc, they should have opted Science stream in 10+2 and for B.Com, they should have taken Economics/Mathematics/Statistics as one of the subjects in 10+2.
They must have obtained at least 35% aggregate marks or C+ grade.
The selection of candidates is done based on the marks scored in 10+2 examinations.
There is no entrance test for the students for admission to UG courses and seats are allotted according to the first come –first serve basis.
