Master of Technology [M.Tech] (Information Security) From IIT Jammu, Jammu

Candidates should have qualified for their qualifying degree (B.Tech/B.E./M.Sc.) in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mathematics, and Statistics. The candidates must have a valid GATE Score card with a minimum of 300 scores (for the SC/ST category the minimum is 200 score). Computer Science and Engineering (CS), Electronics Engineering (EC), Mathematics (MA), and Statistics (ST) would be the required subject specializations for the GATE examination.

Candidates who have qualified AMIE or Grad IETE qualifications will also be considered for admission based on their performance in AMIE/Grad IETE. Such candidates will have to complete 24 valid credits specified by the concerned DRC/CRC/PEC along with a valid GATE score.

Note: Above mentioned criterion is the primary screening criterion and further technical rounds of tests and/or interviews will be conducted for selecting the candidates.

Total 1st sem fee for Single Occupancy – Rs 69,075 
Total 1st sem fee for Shared Occupancy – Rs 64,620

All Income categories (SC/ST/PH):-

Total 1st sem fee for Single Occupancy – Rs 49,075
Total 1st sem fee for Shared Occupancy – Rs 44,620

Defense / Sponsored:-

Total 1st sem fee for Single Occupancy – Rs 78,500
Total 1st sem fee for Shared Occupancy – Rs 78,500

NOTE:

Insurance fees under annual fees may increase approximately by 30% or more depending on actual costs as determined at the beginning of the even semester.

The allocation of the hostel (Single/Shared Occupancy) will be finalized by Institute authorities and the fee will be charged accordingly at the time of admission/registration. It excludes membership fees for specialized facilities on campus.

Occupancy charges do not apply to Defence/Sponsored students.

Thesis fees of Rs. 2000/- shall be charged at the time of submission of the thesis.

Fee components other than tuition fees will increase annually at the rate of 7%.

Mess charges will be notified separately and shall be paid accordingly.

The fee for Summer Term will be added if opted for.

IIT Jammu offers 2 years M.Tech program in full-time mode. The program is offered in the following electives:

1. Computer Science and Engineering - Data Science
2. Computer Science and Engineering - Information Security
3. Electrical Engineering - Communications and Signal Processing

Eligibility:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Technology with 60% or 6.5 CGPA/CPI throughout the academic career. 

A 5% relaxation in the marks will be given in either Secondary (10th) or Higher Secondary (12th) level Certificate Examination

Selection Process:

Selection for admission to M.Tech offered by IIT Jammu will be offered on the basis of a valid GATE score. 

The GATE exam score will be the basic criteria for shortlisting the candidates. Further, shortlisted candidates will be assessed on the basis of a technical round of written test/interview as the principle subsequent criterion.

1. 6 copies of latest passport size photograph
2. Receipt of the online payment of balance fees (through ICICI eazypay) or Demand Draft drawn in favour of Indian Institute of Technology Jammu payable at Jammu. For online payment, in place of Entry Number, please write your GATE Roll Number.
3. Receipt of payment of mess charges in favour of IIT Jammu Hostel.
4. Self-attested copy of Aadhar (student) 
5. Offer letter of IIT Jammu.
6. The original 12th mark sheet and certificate and one self-attested copy each 
7. The original 10th mark sheet and certificate and one self-attested copy each 
8. The original category certificate (for OBC-NCL / SC / ST as applicable) and one self-attested copy
9. The original PwD certificate and one self-attested copy - medical examination will be done by institute medical officer 
10. The original EWS certificate in JoSAA format (as produced during seat allotment) 
11. FORM A - Personal details - duly filled and signed
12. FORM B - Undertaking of awareness of academic rules by student and parents - duly filled and signed
13. FORM C & D - Family Income Statement and Income Certificate - duly filled and signed
14. FORM E - Honour Code - duly filled and signed
15. FORM F & G - Benevolent Fund Form and Medical Insurance Nomination Form - duly filled and signed
16. FORM H1 to H5 - Hostel, Mess, Not Owning Motor Driven Vehicle, Anti-Ragging, Discipline - duly filled and signed
17. GATE Score Card.

The candidates, who wish to pursue this M.Tech. program from the institute will have to apply only through the online portal for IIT Jammu M.Tech. admission 2020.

Interested candidates will have to first register themselves at the online portal and then fill the form.
