Should I prefer EE in IIT Dharwad over Civil in IIT Tirupati?

Both IIT Tirupati and IIT Dharwad are a couple of the newer generation of IITs and haven’t been ranked by NIRF yet. Civil is a core branch and needs a lot of diligence to excel in the field because as compared to EE, opportunities are comparatively less in the present market.

Curriculum

IIT Dharwad

Since it is a new college, it is mentored by old colleges like IIT-K, IIT-M and students are even taught by SWAYAM courses offered by professors from the old IITs.
Control systems, Electrical Power Quality, Network theory, fundamentals of microprocessors, IOT are some important subjects included in the curriculum.

IIT Tirupati

The following labs are included in the course, Materials Lab, Geotechnical Lab, Transportation Lab, Surveying Lab, Water Resource Lab.
Apart from this the subjects are as per the UGC guidelines and the same in most of the IITs.
