Aspirants seeking admission to 2 year Full-time Master of Arts [MA] Program should meet the following criteria as specified by the institute.

Academic Requirement:

• A Candidate should be passed a B.A. degree with Kannada/folk literature as an optional subject with 50% of marks in the subject and in aggregate obtained from any recognized university
• (45% for OBC and 40% for/ST and Cat-I candidates). Candidates with any bachelor's degree with at least basic Kannada in two years of the program who satisfy minimum eligibility percentage (50% for GM, 45% OBC and 40% for SC/ST and Cat-I candidates), are also eligible.
