Eligibility Criteria

Aspirants seeking admission to 4 years full-time B.Tech program should meet the following criteria as specified by the institute.

Academic Requirement:

A candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Mathematics & Physics as compulsory subjects with either Chemistry /Biotechnology/Computer Science/Biology and recognized by any State Board / Central Board or any other accepted by SASTRA as equivalent to 10+2 or its equivalent examination, with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry /Biotechnology/Computer Science/Biology obtained in a single sitting.

Entrance Exam:

Candidate must qualify JEE Main entrance test.

Age Limit:-

Candidate should not have completed 19 years.

Which is better, ECE in Pondicherry Engineering College or Biotech in Sastra?

It depends on where you want to live and study. If you are comfortable staying in Pondicherry and are interested in ECE, go with PEC, which is one of India's oldest institutes.

On the other hand, SASTRA University is a more recent private prestigious university and it has great infrastructure facilities and placement record. BioTech in Sastra has IT placements with a lot of companies whereas ECE in PEC has good placement but is not that great.
