  • One must possess a Bachelor’s degree in BBA or equivalent with minimum aggregate of 50% from a recognized board
  • Students appearing for the final year are also eligible to apply for the course.

NIMS University MSW: Application Process

Candidate seeking admission in the master of social work course at NIMS University can fill the application form online by following the steps given below -:

  1. Visit the official website of the University and click on the “Admission 2024”. 
  2. Now, register by providing a valid email id and a phone number. 
  3. Then select the postgraduate degree in the stream of Humanities and Social Sciences and then select the specialization as Master of Social Work. 
  4. After registration, log in using email id and password. In case the candidate doesn’t remember the password, they can also login via OTP sent on the registered mobile number.
  5. After logging in, fill in the application form for Admission 2024 and also upload the scanned documents.
  6. Finally, the candidate is required to pay the application fee of INR 800 via Credit Card/Debit Card or through any other source of Net banking.
  7. Take a print out of the application form for future reference

NIMS University MSW: Course Details

  • The MSW program offered by the University consists of core courses in the fields related to social work across the globe but also includes additional themes related to emerging topics of social work like globalization, Urbanization, Community planning, Social Psychology, etc. 
  • The curriculum is divided into four parts, i.e. Theory courses, Research Based projects, Field work and Viva Voice.
  • The Field work visits and submission of the report is compulsory and takes place in the fourth semester of the second year.
  • The total number of credits for the course is 64.

To help the students hailing from economically weaker backgrounds, NIMS University offers various scholarships to students to give each student an equal opportunity to study and excel in the MSW program. The various scholarships offered are -:

  1. Scholarship for Program after graduation
EDUCATIONAL LEVEL PERCENTAGE OF SCHOLARSHIP
94% aggregate and above in Class XII and 85% in Graduation 100%
90% aggregate and above in Class XII and 80% in Graduation 75%
80% aggregate and above in Class XII and 75% in Graduation 50%
75% aggregate and above in Class XII and 70% in Graduation. 25%
70% aggregate and above in Class XII and 65% in Graduation 20%
  1. For State/National Level Players  Students who have participated or played at state/national level and will be rewarded with 50% scholarship. However, the student must have played for a valid state and must have a national level certificate.
  2. For Students with Disabilities - Students who have more than 40% disability are awarded with 50% scholarship. The student must submit the certificate proof at the time of admission after which the verification process would take place and after the verification the student would be offered the scholarship.
  3. Scholarship for NIMS Alumni – NIMS students who take admission in PG program or higher studies are awarded with 50% fee concession given the condition that they should take admission in the University within a maximum gap of 2 years.
  4. Scholarship for Defense - Students whose parents are in defense services will be awarded an additional scholarship of 10% over NIMS UNIVERSITY Common Scholarship cum Entrance Examinations.
