National Law Institute University, Bhopal is a state university located in Madhya Pradesh and was established in 1997 by Rashtriya Vidhi Sansthan Vishwavidyalaya Adhiniyam. The university is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Bar Council of India (BCI). According to IIRF 2024, NLIU Bhopal is ranked in the 12th position under the Law category.

NLIU Bhopal Scholarships
NLIU Bhopal offers Two Merit Cum Means Scholarships for meritorious students. The scholarship covers full tuition fees for the entire duration of the course. First Year Tuition Fee waivers are offered for students securing the highest marks in NLIU. The university offers scholarships from the Second to Fifth year based on their marks in NLIU Semester Exams. Along with marks the university also will consider the family income of the students. The annual family income should not exceed the amount as may be prescribed by NLIU Bhopal from time to time.
NLIU Bhopal Facilities
NLIU Bhopal is spread across 47 acres and is an eco-friendly campus. Students can avail of the following facilities on campus at the university:
- Library: Gyan Mandir Library housed at the university is air conditioned and offers a rich collection of learned tomes, national and international journals of law, humanities and social sciences along with E-resources.
- Convention Centre: Justice J. S. Verma Memorial Convention Centre has 900 seat capacity and is utilized for conferences, lectures and other cultural activities.
- Hostel: NLIU offers a separate hostel for boys and girls along with all the required facilities such as mess, Wi-Fi and other basic amenities.
- Research Centre: Rajiv Gandhi Cyber Centre is one of the most famous sites on the campus. This centre is a hub for research and education. Lots of students gather here to brainstorm and exchange ideas.
- Sports Facilities: The university offers indoor and outdoor facilities such as a Gymnasium, Badminton Courts, Table Tennis, Volleyball Courts, Basketball courts and Pool Games.
