You should register for this programme online on the Centre’s website. You can apply to more than one area.
You must keep the details or particulars or copy of Class 10th, Class 12th, Bachelor's mark sheets and JAM results before starting to fill the online application, as you with be needing these for the details in the form.
You should then submit the Application Form online only.
For the Application fee, you should pay through a Demand Draft of Rs. 500 in favour of Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research, payable at Bangalore and send it to the address mentioned below by post, quoting your application number and the area(s) of research. One Demand Draft (non-refundable) is sufficient for multiple choice of areas.

Candidates should have a minimum of 55% marks at the Bachelor’s level [(B.Sc) as applicable to the area]. Candidates who are appearing for their final examination in Bachelor's can also apply.
Candidate will be selected through the Joint Admission Test (JAM) for Master’s and/or JNCASR’s written test, followed by an Interview at Bangalore if you are shortlisted. The JNCASR written entrance test JNCASR, Bangalore. If you are shortlisted from the screening tests, you will be called for interview the same day or the next day.
