The courses are offered in different streams such as Arts, Humanities and Social Science and Journalism/ Mass Communication/ Media, Architecture and Planning, Health and Allied Science, Law, Management Studies and Behavioural Science, Science Engineering and Technology etc.

• PhD course duration differs from 3 years to 6 year depending upon the type of program.
• The minimum eligibility is post graduation from a recognized university with a minimum of 55% of marks. 
• The selection process of the PhD course is based on the scores obtained in the PhD Entrance Test and the performance of the candidates in the interview.

• Candidates with ME/ MS/ MTech degrees must have a minimum CGPA of 6.0 or equivalent or 60% marks in 10th, 12th and BTech/ BE degree.
• Applicants with Chartered Accountancy (CA) qualification from 'The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India' (ICAI)/ Cost and Works Accountancy of ICWAI/ Company Secretary of ICSI with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent are eligible for admissions to the program in relevant field.

Amity University, Gurgaon PhD Admission Guidelines

Admissions to PhD program of Amity University, Gurgaon are based on the performance of candidates in PhD Entrance Test (PET) conducted by the university itself. Candidates who qualify the test will be required to appear for the interview round.

• PET is a computer based test comprising 2 sections of 50 marks each. There will be 100 MCQs and the duration of the test will be 100 marks. 
• 30 marks weightage is given to the interview round.
• Candidates with valid scores in NET of UGC/ CSIR/ ICAR (ASRB)/ GPAT/ ICMR/ GATE/ DST - INSPIRE within the last 2 years from the time of applying for PhD will be exempted from the PET.
• Foreign/ NRI applicants/ Applicants with a Masters’ degree from a foreign university can apply with an equivalence certificate of AIU along with the online application form.

Course Duration: The minimum course duration of PhD program for full time scholars is 3 years and the maximum duration is 6 years whereas for part time candidates, the minimum course duration is 4 years and 6 months and maximum course duration is 6 years.
