Master of Technology [M.Tech] (Dairy Technology) From SVVU, Tirupati

The University offers the M.Tech. Programme in the following specializations:

• Dairy Technology
• Dairy Microbiology

Eligibility Criteria:

You should have a B.Tech. Degree in Dairying/Dairy Technology or a B.Sc. Degree in Dairy Technology of 4 years duration offered by an Agricultural University or NDRI. You must have also secured a minimum OGPA of 6 for general category and 5 for SC/ST/PH category, out of a score of 10 for general category; or 2.50 and 2.00 respectively out of a score of 4; or 60% marks and 55% marks respectively in traditional system.

Age: You should not be more than 40 years of age as on July 1^st, 2016.

You will be selected on the basis of the following weightage:-

• Previous academic record of Graduation- 30%
• Intermediate (10+2) -10%
• 10th Class – 5%
• Achievements in extra-curricular activities - 5%
• Performance in Entrance test - 50% 

The Entrance Test shall be comprehensive covering all relevant subjects prescribed for the concerned Bachelor’s degree requirements. The paper will contain 200 multiple choice type questions. Each question will have four options and one correct answer.

You will have to score a minimum of 40% marks in case you belong to the general category. There is no minimum prescribed score for SC/ST/PH category. However, this weightage will be relaxed by a maximum of 5 marks on production of certificates for achievement in NCC/NSS/Sports/Games/Culture/Literary activities at International level (3 marks), National level (2 marks) or Inter-University level (1 mark).
