An MPhil degree is taken in two years as a full-time student or in four years as a part-time student. The degree is awarded following the successful completion of a period of research which includes the submission of a thesis, and its subsequent oral examination, together with a series of Departmental reports and seminars.

A good Bachelors degree from a recognised institution.
A score of 60% is considered comparable to a UK 2:1 (Second Class Upper Division). We take into account universities who mark more rigorously, eg University of Delhi, where they usually accept 55% or higher.
Applicants must also submit their research proposal at time of application if it requires a thesis to complete the degree.
