Master of Science in Architecture and Sustainable Design at the University of Nottingham is a 1-year program.
It is an on-campus program offered on a full-time basis.
The program is designed to equip postgraduate students, practitioners in architecture, and building industry professionals with the necessary skills to integrate environmental design principles from an early stage in the design process, enabling the delivery of truly sustainable buildings.
In the autumn and spring semesters, students will complete 120 credits worth of modules including two design modules.
Students will spend the summer semester producing a 60-credit supervised dissertation.
Teaching for this course comprises of circa 6 contact hours per week for the lecture-based modules and circa 6 contact hours per week for the studio-based modules during term-time.
Students must pass each module with at least 50% to progress. Their final degree classification will be calculated based on the weighting of each module, which reflects their credits.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Indian Student Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they complete one of the following eligibility criteria:

Students should hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university, usually in a relevant subject area. This should be equivalent to at least a UK ‘Upper Second Class (2:1)’ or ‘Lower Second Class (2:2)’ degree.
Students from Indian Universities should score 60% in Upper Second Class (2:1)’ or 55% in ‘Lower Second Class (2:2)’ degrees. These are the college minimum scores and particular departments may seek grades at a higher level.
Applicant should hold a GPA of 3.0 (Upper Second Class) or 2.6 (Lower Second Class) out of 4.0 or hold a GPA of 6.0 (Upper Second Class) or 5.5 (Lower Second Class) out of 10.
