Pharmacology is the study of how drugs work in the body. This includes any type of chemical or biological agent that produces an effect on the body including medicines, drugs of abuse, poisons, and chemicals in the food we eat and drink. There are two aspects to pharmacology: the effect of the drug on the body, and the effect of the body on the drug.In this course students aim to answer some of the biggest questions they have surrounding drugs and medicine today and for the future. In year one, they will study a number of core modules covering physiology, biochemistry, neuroscience and medicinal chemistry. In the second year, you will start to focus on the pharmacology of current drugs and drug targets, and in the third year you will learn about the recent advances in pharmacology, and the application of pharmacology in the drug discovery process.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Indian Student Specific Requirements:
- For Indian Higher secondary certificate the average grades of four highest subjects will be taken
- Grade XII CBSE or ICSE boards: 84% to 93%
- Grade XII Maharashtra state boards: 84% to 93%
- Other state boards: 89% to 98%
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 79 with minimum 17 in writing and listening, 18 in reading and 20 in speaking
- IELTS: minimum 6.0 with 5.5 in each element
- PTE: minimum 65 with 59 in each element

VISA & Work Study
VISA
Most international students need a visa/entry clearance to study in the UK. A Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) is a unique reference number given by an immigration sponsor to study in the UK. A CAS number is required for the student visa process. There are two different visas which students can apply for:
- Student route: Students will need a student visa if they intend to study in the UK for more than six months.
- Short-term study visa: The visa can be issued for up to 11 months. Employment is not permitted on this visa.
- Standard visitor visa: Depending on nationality, permission must either be obtained prior to travel or, in some cases, can be obtained on arrival at the UK border.
