The BEng (Hons) Aerospace Engineering includes a range of fundamental topics in mechanical engineering, materials engineering, and design, as well as specialist aerospace and aeronautical topics such as aerodynamics, aircraft performance, flight dynamics, avionics, aircraft systems, aircraft structures, aircraft design, and propulsion systems. This course includes an optional year in the industry, at no extra cost.

• The Jetstream aircraft flight test involves acquiring flight data as the aircraft undergoes a series of pre-planned maneuvers. The data is used, together with the theory covered in the classroom, to calculate the flight and performance characteristics of the aircraft.
