This degree offers an opportunity to study withinÊthe two related disciplines and you will use aÊcombination of theory and research methods toÊstudy issues that include the manner in whichÊhuman behaviour is shaped by social factorsÊthat include the family, peer groups and socialÊand economic circumstances, and the formationÊand outcomes of criminal justice and social policy. In combination, criminology and sociology reflect the general orientation of criminology towards sociology as the founding discipline.Ê
