You will study a curriculum designed in conjunction with industry to equip you with the range of skills and strengths that employers demand.ÊYou will cover areas such as databases and business information systems throughout the course and in Years 2 and 3, you will choose option unitsÊ in order to further develop your skills in your chosen area. You will also have the opportunity to engage in report writing, research-based activities and undertake a large-scale supervised project. Our BSc (Hons) Computer Science, BSc (Hons) Software Engineering and BSc (Hons) Computing degree share a common first year allowing you to transfer between courses after Year 1.

Students will also have the option, within the first year of study, to apply for the route to gainÊQualified Teacher Status (QTS)Êas part of the degree.ÊThis offers the chance to work in local schools and qualify as a teacher.Ê
