The BSc (Hons) Adult Nursing programme atÊManchester Metropolitan University is an awarded winning programme that will develop your skills, knowledge and confidence to ensure that you become a competent and confident professional practitioner.ÊBased in theÊaward-winningÊBrooks building, our clinical skills laboratories and state-of?the-art simulation equipment will enable you to develop theÊskills and experience required to become a highly respected and highly employable Nursing professional.
We currently have two intakes inÊMarch andÊSeptember, which build on theÊcore valuesÊof theÊNHS constitutionÊand fully prepares students for the challenges of modern nursing practice. Upon successful completion of the programme, students will gain both an academic award (BSc Hons) and eligibility to register with the Nursing & Midwifery Council as an adult nurse. Support is available from a range of sources to guide students? academic and practice development throughout the programme.
This course is 50% theory and 50% clinical practice with placements in both the hospital and community settings. You will also have the opportunity to gain the added benefit of additional awards in acute illness management (AIMS©) and Mental Health First Aid by the end of the programme.
All studentsÊmust demonstrate in their personal statements an understanding of Adult Nursing in the UK incorporating the NHSÊcore valuesÊand contemporary issues in Nursing. Students must evidence an understanding of theÊqualities required to be a Nursing professional in the UK in order to be shortlisted for an interview.ÊSuccessful applicants will be subject to a video/ face-to-face interview.
