The International Business Management (Hons) programme is offered atÊManchester Metropolitan University.
In the digital age, almost every business operates on the world stage and supplies to multiple countries. In order to compete in this hugely competitive marketplace, graduates need to know how to conduct business overseas and the nuances of doing business in a specific territory.Ê
This degree will allow you to gain specialist knowledge in managing people of different cultures and backgrounds, and the political and governing structures of different markets that influence how businesses operate. It will provide you with the business knowledge and cross-cultural management skills you will need in order to develop and maintain international business relationships in often volatile political, cultural and economic environments.
They offer four-year routes where you can spend your third year on industrial placement or studying abroad at one of our overseas partner universities.
You can also enhance your employability by studying a language as an integral part of the programme. This can be a language that is new to you, or one previously studied.
Your career prospects after the course
Graduates with broad-based degrees in business and management or specialist business degrees are well positioned to apply for a range of opportunities in the private or public sector.
Previous graduates have gone into employment in a wide range of management positions in industry, management commerce, banking, finance, manufacturing and the public sector while many others have entered graduate training schemes with international companies such as IBM, Credit Suisse and BMW.
Those with good language skills have often chosen to develop their career outside the UK and now live and work in Europe, Asia or South America.
Alternatively you may choose to use your skills to launch your own business or consultancy.
Our business incubator, Innospace, can help you to develop your business ideas and provide practical support to get your company up and running.
