  • This program, run jointly with UCL Economics, combines an in-depth study of economics and econometrics with a solid grounding in mathematical and statistical methods. The program is suitable for students of high mathematical ability who are considering a career in finance, business, or industry.
  • This BSc is a joint degree programme taught in conjunction with UCL Economics. The first-year combination of statistics, economics, and mathematics is followed by a roughly equal mix of statistics and economics modules (including econometrics) over years two and three. In the third year, there is considerable flexibility in the range of options available in economics and statistics.
  • Upon successful completion of 360 credits, students will be awarded a BSc (Econ) (Hons) in Economics and Statistics.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

  • Students have A*AA level grades with A* in Mathematics required. Further Mathematics preferred. If candidates are studying both then the A* can be in either subject.
  • GCSEs: English Language and Mathematics at grade C or 5 is required.
  • Students have 39 IB scores,19 points in three higher level subjects including grade 7 in Mathematics, with no score lower than 5. The program will accept either 'Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches' or 'Mathematics: Applications and Interpretation' at a higher level.
  • Students whose official language is not English are required to submit IELTS or TOEFL scores. 

Indian Students Eligibility:

  • Successful completion of one year of a Bachelor's Degree at an Indian university recognized by UCL, with an average grade equivalent to UK Upper Second Class. 
  • The Year 12/Standard 12 Indian School Certificate awarded by CISCE or CBSE with five subjects at 95, 95, 95, 90, 90.
