- The four-year dual degree programme involves two years of study both at UCL and at the Universität zu Koln in Germany, leading to the award of a Bachelor of Laws degree from each institution.
- In each year of the degree, students will take a number of individual modules, normally valued at 15 or 30 credits, adding up to a total of 120 credits for the year. Modules are assessed in the academic year in which they are taken. The balance of compulsory and optional modules varies from programme to programme and year to year. A 30-credit module is considered equivalent to 15 credits in the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS).
- In Year 1, the module introduces the German legal system/methodology and core concepts of Constitutional Law. In Year 2, topics include German Contract law and the Law of Obligations.
- Years 3 and 4 are spent at the Universität zu Köln studying towards the German Law degree in accordance with the host university's degree requirements.

Academic Eligibility:
- Students must have an A*AA, A-level grade.
- GCSEs English Language and Mathematics at grade B or 6. Complete fluency in German required.
- Students have an IB score of 39 of which 19 points in three higher level subjects, with no score lower than 5.
- Students whose official language is not English are required to submit IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE scores.
Indian Students Eligibility:
- Successful completion of one year of a Bachelor's Degree at an Indian university recognized by UCL, with an average grade equivalent to UK Upper Second Class.
- The Year 12/Standard 12 Indian School Certificate awarded by CISCE or CBSE with five subjects at 95, 95, 95, 90, and 90.
