- This program is designed for those interested in the study of the most challenging problems our world currently faces, such as international conflict and instability, terrorism, climate change, or rapid globalization.
- Building on a thorough understanding of international relations theory, it trains students in how to apply and leverage methods and research design to answer the most pressing societal questions of the time.
- The program draws on expertise in the fields of international relations theory, normative international theory, international security, international organizations, non-state actors, human rights, humanitarian intervention, and international political economy.
- Students will have the opportunity to choose among different pathways to allow students to build specialist knowledge on specific world regions and specific themes.
- Students will take two core and four optional courses. They will attend lectures, seminars, and tutorials and undertake independent research.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students must hold a 2.1 Honours degree or non-UK equivalent in politics, law, or related social science subject from a recognized university.
- Students from other fields are also considered but should submit a one-page personal statement indicating why they are interested in changing fields or the connection to their previous study.
- Students whose official language is not English are required to submit IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE scores.
Work Experience:
Students with relevant work experience into account are also eligible to apply for the program.
Indian Student Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Students must complete a 4-year undergraduate degree with first class in a relevant field from a recognized institution
- Or, students completed a master's degree with first-class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
