The Media and Communications (Hons) programme offered by Coventry University is designed to produce the next generation of media professionals, at the forefront of a wide range of careers within the media and cultural industries. You will develop your initiative and creativity thanks to a vast array of activities which combine a strong theoretical background and practice-based skills.
This program is available as a 3-year full-time and 4-year sandwich.
The course encourages you to think and work creatively, imaginatively and professionally within a wide range of contemporary media and cultural practices. Over the course of the three years, you will cover the key areas of: screen, new and digital media, global and international contexts of media and culture, creative industries, media history and theory, media and cultural research, and media and cultural production.
Using our facilities and industry-standard equipment, youÕll gain hands-on experience of multiple communications channels, in areas such as screen and mobile media, film and video, weblogs, social media, advertising and publicity design.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students must achieve an overall score of 60% minimum in the standard XII examination.
- Students also have 65% in Maths and 65% in one from subjects such as Physics/ Chemistry/ Electronics/ Engineering/ Further Mathematics/ Computer Science/ Computing/ Design Tech.
Indian Student Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they complete one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Students must achieve 60% overall achieved in a 3 or 4 years Engineering or Technology Diploma.
- Students must achieve an overall score of 60% minimum in the Standard XII examination with a minimum of 65% in the key relevant subject; i.e. Biology, Chemistry, Physics.
- 60% in Standard XII English language from certain examination boards only (Central boards, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, and Uttarakhand).
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/PTE or any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
