The Trauma Medicine programme is offered by The University of Edinburgh.ÊThere are ongoing projects in the following areas:
- musculoskeletal tissue engineering, stem cells and regenerative medicine
- orthopaedic engineering and modelling of the musculoskeletal system
- osteoporosis and fracture repair
- clinical outcome studies
The orthopaedic engineering unit and the musculoskeletal research unit along with the microCT facilities are based within the Chancellor's Building. Facilities for collaborative projects are based in the centre for regenerative medicine and the centre for integrative physiology. The outcome performance assessment facilities are based within the clinical department in the Royal Infirmary.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Applicants will need a good Masters degree, or equivalent, in a related subject. A well developed research proposal is also essential.
- They will normally be required to attend an interview/Skype interview for acceptance, and acceptance is subject to research expertise in the department.
Indian Students Eligibility:
- Applicants must have passed graduation in a relavent field from a recognised institution.A research proposal is required.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.
