University allocates places on a first-come, first-served basis, so students are recommended to apply as early as possible.
This is a two-year full-time programme leading to an MA and a professional qualification in social work.
Situated within the broader environment of social sciences, this programme provides a theoretical and critical approach to the acquisition and appreciation of knowledge about social work practice and its context. Principles of human rights are core.

- Bursaries may be availableÊfrom the Care Council for Wales (or other UK equivalent councils).
- The programme continues to meet the Care Council for WalesÕ requirements with no conditions according to yearly reviews.
- There are opportunities to take part in student exchange (ERASMUS) and carry out some study abroad (currently Finland, Lithuania, Austria or Germany).
- Users of social services are central to the management and delivery of the Programme.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
- 2:2 honors degree in any subject
- Relevant professional experience provided by any reference
- Official transcripts of all the previous school, college or universities attended
English Language Requirements:
- IELTS: 6.5 overall minimum with 5.5 in each subskill
- TOEFL IBT: minimum 90 overall with 17 in writing, 17 in listening, 18 in reading, 20 in speaking
- PTE Academic: 62 minimum overall with 59 in all communicative skills
Indian Student Specific Requirements:
- Average of 78-81% in top 4 subjects (not including physical education) in Senior Secondary Examination (Std XII)
