Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering at the University of The West of England is a 4 years program.
It is an on-campus program offered on both a full-time and a part-time basis.
The program is being taught in the new state-of-the-art School of Engineering, designed to revolutionize the way engineering is taught.
Students will also provide students with placement opportunities, as well as advice on CV-writing, interview techniques, and industry issues.
Learning takes place through a mix of lectures and tutorials, experimental laboratory work, engineering fabrication, drawing and design, computing, and application-based mini-projects.
Students get the facilities including stress analysis, testing, and materials selection, dynamics and vibration, and thermofluids.
Students have to attend regular presentations from visiting professionals.
An individual project is a key assessment in Year three and Final years.
Students are assessed through a mix of examinations, assignments and group projects.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

UCAS Tariff points: 120
GCSE: Grade C/4 in English Literature or Language and Mathematics, or equivalent.
A-level subjects: Grade C in Mathematics plus a pass in one of the following subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Computing/Computer Science, Design and Technology, Electronics, Engineering, ICT, Further Maths, Music Technology, Physics, Statistics.
Baccalaureate IB: To include a minimum grade of 5 in Higher Level Mathematics and a Pass at Higher Level in one of the following subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Design Technology, Physics, Environmental Systems, and Societies.

Indian Student Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they complete the following eligibility criteria:

Students should have a Higher Secondary School Certificate/Indian School Certificate (Standard XII) from boards such as CBSE/CISCE/WBCHSEB with 65% including grade C in at least five subjects.
Students with lower grades may be considered for entry onto a foundation degree.
Students should hold a 70% score in the English Language in Higher Secondary School Certificate/Indian School Certificate - Standard XII from CBSE/CISCE/WBCHSEB.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/PTE or any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
