- Master of Arts in Photography at the University of The West of England is a 15 months program.
- It is an on-campus program offered on a full-time basis.
- The program starts in the month of September.
- The course is affiliated to and accredited by the Association of Photographers who are a leading professional organization representing photographers both nationally and internationally.
- The program is taught by award-winning artists, photographers, and leading academics in the field, distinctive, practice-based.
- The course includes 10 hours of contact time a week, which incorporates all the academic teaching and learning, technical workshops, and engagement with industry visitors.

- MA in Photography will allow students to explore the diverse applications of the medium, and to deepen their understanding of photography as a discipline.
- The course includes guest lectures, intensive week-long workshops, practice-based interactive activities, and individual portfolio reviews with professional practitioners and industry leaders, including curators, editors, publishers, producers, art buyers, agents, gallerists, and designers.
- Assessment of the program includes project reviews, essays, reflective diaries, presentations, and reports, as well as assessing their portfolio of work.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students should have skills and experience in photography or related subjects.
- Applicants will have an undergraduate degree but applicants with other qualifications or professional experience are also encouraged to apply.
Indian Students Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Students have to complete a 4-year undergraduate degree in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
- Students must complete a Higher Secondary School Certificate/Indian School Certificate – Standard XII from CBSE/CISCE/WBCHSEB: English Language with 70%. This qualification must have been completed within the last three years.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.

- Resume/CV - This provides a summary of a student's experience and skills.
- Higher Secondary School Certificate - The certificate provided by the education board after completion of the Higher secondary education.
- Statement of marks - The marks statement provided by the education board.
- Letter of Recommendation - This shows who recommended the student to pursue the degree.
- Personal Statement - This is an essay or any written statement written by the student while applying in a minimum of 250 words.
- English Language Requirement - This shows the test score of English Proficiency Exams such as IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, etc.
