- Bachelor of Arts in Product Design at the University of The West of England is a 3 years program.
- It is an on-campus, honours program offered on a full-time basis.
- This course is accredited by the Institution of Engineering Designers (IED).
- Students will gain advanced skills in concept sketching and 3D form, verbal and visual communication, model making, computer-aided design (CAD) and the business of design.
- If students study on the four-year sandwich course, they will have to spend a year away from the University on a work placement after Year two.
- The course is project-led and taught mainly in studios. Students apply their new skills and knowledge to diverse projects that solve human-centered problems through design practice.
- In this program, students will learn about human-centred design, co-design and innovative design processes, materials and manufacturing, and form and aesthetics development.
- The career opportunities for the students are available in service design, graphic design, brand consultancy, user experience design, brand and retail design, design research, marketing and packaging design.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- UCAS Tariff points: 112
- GCSE: Grade C/4 in English Literature or Language and Mathematics, or equivalent.
- A-level subjects: A2 in Art or Design and Technology.
- Baccalaureate IB: To include a pass at Higher Level in Design Technology or Visual Arts.
Indian Student Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they complete the following eligibility criteria:
- Students should have a Higher Secondary School Certificate/Indian School Certificate (Standard XII) from boards such as CBSE/CISCE/WBCHSEB with 65% including grade C in at least five subjects.
- Students with lower grades may be considered for entry onto a foundation degree.
- Students should hold a 70% score in the English Language in Higher Secondary School Certificate/Indian School Certificate - Standard XII from CBSE/CISCE/WBCHSEB.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/PTE or any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
