- Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Linguistics at the University of The West of England is a 3 years program.
- It is an on-campus, honours program offered on both a full-time and a part-time basis.
- Studying English language and linguistics will provide students with a clear understanding of how English is structured, has evolved, and is still evolving.
- This course also offers students the opportunity to gain a certificate in leadership and management accredited by the Institute of Leadership and Management.
- Students can learn through lectures, workshops, one-to-one tutorials, and smaller discussion-based seminar groups.
- Students will have to study 12 hours per week and contact time over in 24 weeks, with an additional hour for peer-assisted learning (PAL) sessions each week.
- If students study on the four-year sandwich course, they will have to spend a year away from the University on a work placement after Year two.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- UCAS Tariff points: 112
- GCSE: Grade C/4 in English Literature or Language, or equivalent.
Indian Student Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they complete the following eligibility criteria:
- Students should have a Higher Secondary School Certificate/Indian School Certificate (Standard XII) from boards such as CBSE/CISCE/WBCHSEB with 65% including grade C in at least five subjects.
- Students with lower grades may be considered for entry onto a foundation degree.
- Students should hold a 70% score in the English Language in Higher Secondary School Certificate/Indian School Certificate - Standard XII from CBSE/CISCE/WBCHSEB.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/PTE or any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
