- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at the University of The West of England is a 3 years program.
- It is an on-campus, honours program offered on a full-time basis.
- Computer Science is vital to the economy, in the UK and worldwide. From online retailing and music to satellite navigation and computer games, intelligent computer systems affect every part of the lives.
- BSc(Hons) Computer Science shows students how to analyze complex problems, design algorithms to solve them and write programs that put these solutions into practice.
- The course enables students to become a Chartered Information Technology Professional (CITP), or Chartered Engineer (CEng) and will equip students with scientific knowledge and skills based on the latest technologies used in the industry.
- In the course, students will have to choose to study one of three specialist pathways, in either AI, Smart Devices or Computer Science.
- By the end of the first year, students will be equipped with an understanding of the basic concepts, uses, and processes of contemporary AI.
- From Year two, students can tailor the content to reflect their interests and career plans and the final year modules will give some of the graduates the opportunity to develop advanced skills in AI and Data Analytics.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- UCAS Tariff points: 120
- GCSE: Grade C/4 in English Literature or Language and Mathematics, or equivalent.
Indian Student Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they complete the following eligibility criteria:
- Students should have a Higher Secondary School Certificate/Indian School Certificate (Standard XII) from boards such as CBSE/CISCE/WBCHSEB with 65% including grade C in at least five subjects.
- Students with lower grades may be considered for entry onto a foundation degree.
- Students should hold a 70% score in the English Language in Higher Secondary School Certificate/Indian School Certificate - Standard XII from CBSE/CISCE/WBCHSEB.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/PTE or any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
