Students undertaking English and Spanish at Queen’s explore the literature and languages of both traditions in the widest possible sense.
From the earliest writings in Anglo-Saxon to contemporary Irish, British, and ‘global’ literature, students study English in its historical, linguistic, cultural, and ideological circumstances and material manifestations.
As the world’s second most widely spoken language, Spanish is a vibrant and growing subject and a doorway into a variety of rich and fascinating cultures across the world.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

ABB including A-level English for applicants who have not studied A-level English then AS-level English (grade A) would be acceptable in lieu of A-level English.
A minimum of a 2:2 Honours Degree provided any subject requirement

Indian students eligibility:

Applicants must have the following qualifications to be eligible for direct admission:

Three A levels
Between 30 and 36 points in the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB).
The Standard Indian XII (10+2) examinations from CBSE, CISCE or State Boards of Higher Secondary Education are acceptable for admission to their Bachelor's degree programmes.

An average mark of 70 - 85% or higher (best of 5 academic subjects) in the Standard Indian XII Higher Secondary School certificates awarded by the central boards (CBSE, CISCE) or a state board, or equivalent, with 75% or higher where subject requirements are stipulated (comparable with Grade B at A-Level).

Applicants will normally need to demonstrate a level of English equivalent to 6.5 IELTS or 90 TOEFL IBT (Internet-based test). However, some degree programmes have higher or lower requirements.
