This Master's of Research (MRes) will provide you with the required skills and methodologies to undertake a doctoral degree. The breadth and depth of the course will also enable you to pursue a wide range of careers in European politics.
This MRes is recognised by the Economic & Social Research Council (ESRC), specifically, as part of the larger South West Doctoral Training Partnership (SWDTP). It can be taken as a course in its own right, or if you hold an SWDTP studentship you can take the 1+3 (MRes + PhD) pathway.
As well as being recognised as a higher academic qualification, a number of our degrees are also accredited by professional bodies in the United Kingdom. An accredited degree may entitle you to work in a specific profession within the UK, and abroad (where there are reciprocating arrangements with professional bodies in other countries).

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

Students hold should have a first or strong second-class Bachelor’s honors degree or international equivalent.
To apply for this course students may have an undergraduate degree in any subject but must demonstrate evidence of relevant quantitative skills (especially algebra and calculus).
International applicants may need to pass an English language test and submit their scores.

Indian Students:

Students should have a Bachelor's degree with a final overall result of at least First Class.
