- This course will provide students with experience and confidence in the field of learning disabilities nursing – with an emphasis on leadership and shaping a culture of care. Designed in collaboration with partners in the NHS, the private and voluntary sector, as well as carers and service users, the course provides students with the skills, experience, and confidence necessary for a career in Learning Disabilities Nursing. There will also be a strong emphasis on leadership and shaping a culture of care.
- In the first year, students will learn skills fundamental to providing good quality care while learning to lead and manage themselves. In the student's second year, they’ll consider leading and managing care. The third-year will focus on leading and managing service to develop your abilities to lead a team and drive service innovation.
- Students will work in supportive teams with practice and academic experts, mentors, and personal tutors. Students course is 50% theory and 50% practice and commences with a six-week introductory block with regular placements in professional healthcare settings, allowing them to work with service users, their carers, and care providers.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students must have an official secondary school transcript to get admission.
- Students are required to maintain at least a 3.0 overall GPA.
- In addition, they also accept International Baccalaureate Diploma with a minimum of 26 points or Advanced Placement International Diploma with an average of Grade 3 or above for entry to undergraduate programs.
- Selection for this course is by interview.
Indian Eligibility:
- Successful completion of Higher Secondary Certificate/Indian School Certificate/Standard XII with a minimum of 65% from CISCE and CBSE boards.
- To meet the University of Gloucestershire’s English language entry requirements, international students will need to have taken an English Proficiency test of IELTS/TOEFL or any equivalent test.
