This course is for the students if they have an interest in how organisms can be cultured and manipulated to provide useful foods and medicines; wish to study how to optimize product development and purification; want to understand how we can manipulate genes or gene expression to improve the production of useful compounds or want to contribute effectively to ethical issues associated with biotechnology.
During this course, students will help shape the future of biotechnology; study the manipulation of living organisms in the birthplace of Darwin; walk Darwin’s thinking path at The Mount while pondering how we can use the principles of evolution to improve food and drug production and sit in the library where Darwin was schooled.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

Students are required to submit their higher school transcripts.
Students are required to have a Diploma, to include 45 credits at level 3, 30 of which must be at Merit.

Indian Eligibility:

Senior Secondary School Certificate/Higher Secondary School Certificate awarded on completion of Standard XII with an overall grade of 60% or above (and 60% in a specific subject, if required) from the following boards:
- Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)
- Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE)
- International General Certificate of Secondary Education ( IGCSE)
- National Institute of Open School
Senior Secondary School Certificate/Higher Secondary School Certificate awarded on completion of Standard XII with an overall grade of 65% or above (and 65% in a specific subject, if required) from the following boards:
- Punjab
- Haryana
- Uttar Pradesh
- Bihar
- Chhattisgarh

3 Year Diploma (from a State Board of Technical Education) with an overall grade of 60% or above.
