- This course will introduce students to the key theories, contexts and practices within the sports journalism industry. The course examines sports journalism in depth, and has a strong focus on digital media to reflect current and emergent industry trends.
- Students have the chance to develop a range of essential skills, including writing and broadcasting in multiplatform environments to help enhance versatility to work in a range of areas within the expanding sports media industries.
- Year 1 lays the groundwork for students to work professionally and will introduce them to the practical skills of news reporting and sports reporting.
- In Year 2, students will develop the creativity required to work in the broadcast industry. They will also have the opportunity to undertake a work placement.
- In Year 3, they will work closely with a sports club and have the option of undertaking an academic or production dissertation.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students are required to submit their higher school transcripts.
- Students are required to have a Diploma, to include 45 credits at level 3, 30 of which must be at Merit.
Indian Eligibility:
- Senior Secondary School Certificate/Higher Secondary School Certificate awarded on completion of Standard XII with an overall grade of 60% or above (and 60% in a specific subject, if required) from the following boards:
- Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)
- Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE)
- International General Certificate of Secondary Education ( IGCSE)
- National Institute of Open School
- Senior Secondary School Certificate/Higher Secondary School Certificate awarded on completion of Standard XII with an overall grade of 65% or above (and 65% in a specific subject, if required) from the following boards:
- Punjab
- Haryana
- Uttar Pradesh
- Bihar
- Chhattisgarh
- Gujarat
- Jharkhand
- Rajasthan
- Uttarkhand
- 3 Year Diploma (from a State Board of Technical Education) with an overall grade of 60% or above.
Non- Native Students are required to submit their English Proficiency Scores.
