The highly technical Industrial Design course at UCA Canterbury will give students the skills to design and produce innovative and exciting products.
With access to the extensive workshop facilities - from 3D digital design software, laser cutting, CNC technology, and virtual reality and spatial tracking technology - students will have plenty of exciting opportunities to design and create prototypes of their work.
Students will explore the manufacturing process from beginning to end, with an emphasis on design, and even challenge the definition of modern industrial design.
The transferable skills that students will gain in this course will include making prototypes, presenting concepts to investors, and developing a scientific understanding of materials and their interaction.
Students will graduate with a wealth of knowledge and experience, ready to enter a variety of industries that have a production element - working on anything from cars to furniture, toys or electronic devices, or in printmaking, 3D printing, and more.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Qualifications:

Indian HSC/ Standard XII with an overall average of 60.

English Proficiency:

Indian Standard XII from CBSE or ISC national boards: English with 70% or above.
Or, IELTS Academic for UKVI 6.0 (with no band below 5.5).

Recommendation Letter if out of education for 2 years.

Certificate of Finance:

Students will be required to submit a document that has at least 9 months of the UKVI's maintenance requirement which for all 4 campuses is £9135 (1015*9) PLUS any unpaid course fees.
The money needs to be in the form of cash funds and has been held for a minimum of 28 days and the statement cannot be older than 31 days.

Copy of Passport:
Clear scanned copy of all pages and previous UK visas including CAS (if applicable).

Immigration Form:
A paper form will be sent to students from the admissions team (after the deposit had been paid) asking them to complete details with regards to their immigration history.
