University of Bristol, MSc Public Health

I wanted to study Public Health and the University of Bristol was one of the highest ranked universities in the field and the University was also ranked in World's Top 100 Universities World and in the top 10 in the UK. The application process was simple as well.

Course Curriculum

8

I liked the Course Curriculum and Academics although it is too much to take in a short time if you are new to the field. The University also provides academic support to students.

Exams

For Application, I had to submit my CV, 1 SoP, and 2 LoRs. In my CV I highlighted my academics, co-curricular activities, and community engagements. In my SoP, I wrote about my Bachelor's and the subjects I chose other than the major subject, about the courses I liked the most for my postgraduate at the University of Bristol, and my passion for studying the subject. I also mentioned the gap year that I took after the 12th. I took my LoR's from my Professors and asked them to focus on my ability and interest of understanding in-depth and for taking challenges by choosing different subjects along with my major and engaging in activities like public speaking and also attending various seminars held at the University.

Placement

6

The University sends relevant posts via email at the end of the course and the career services help as well.

Events

The libraries are great and there are different libraries in different buildings for different courses. Many varied events take place throughout the year and it's a nice exposure for international students.

Fees

21,100 Pounds

Scholarship

No, I could not apply for a scholarship since I applied very late for the course.

Faculty

9

For my course, there were 30 students in a class and 1 teacher for theory sections whereas 2 more teachers assisted us during practical sessions. The faculty and staff are really supportive and approachable. Dr. Ruth was my course director and Dr. David Troy was my personal tutor and they both provided tremendous support throughout the year.

Hostel

9

Yes, I lived in a University Accommodation Hall. I shared the kitchen with 3 other people and the infrastructure was great. All the facilities were provided like WiFi and an attached bath. The cost is 171.3 pounds weekly.
