Roohi Zama Review at Teesside University [TU], Middlesbrough | Collegedunia

Genuine Review

At that time, Teesside University was the cheapest one and I found the area where it is based to be very nice. I chose MSc Accounting and Finance so that I could gain more knowledge about my field of interest.

Course Curriculum :

Since my course was only for a year, I wasn't given any industrial exposure and it was only theoretical. What I loved about is that they tried to explain relating to the industries and how it would actually be in the work.

Exams :

During 2019, I had an option to either give IELTS exam or to give a Skype interview with the Teesside University. I chose to do the interview and scored 6.5

Placement :

Unfortunately this University did not offer such a program for students. It was kinda unexpected as I really thought they would have had something but at the end they did not offer any programs. All they did was have a website where students could themselves apply to the job they want.

Internship :

No

Fees :

12,000 pounds

Scholarship :

Yes, I was given a Scholarship of 1500 a year which was available for all the international students who scored 6.5+ scores in IELTS

Faculty :

I am one of those lucky ones, who had a class strength of 12 which included all different cultures and countries. The faculty to student ratio was good and the staff over there are very friendly. The business school lecturers were known to be the best as they help the students how much ever they can. As I was very new to the structure of the exams, my teachers helped me and made me understand what should be done.

Campus Life :

Campus Life is very good. Surrounding the campus are a lot of restaurants, entertaining stores and even mall which helps students ease their work.

Hostel :

I lived in the cheapest accomodation I could find that was Parkside Halls which costed 340 pounds including electrical expenses. Later I rented a house with my friends which was much cheaper as I had to pay 120 pounds for rent and rest would be for electricity, heating and food.

10.0/10Accommodation
10.0/10Faculty
