Middlesex University, Early childhood studies
Reviewed on Mar 8, 2019

Middlesex was the only university which accepted me, which I was delighted. I was also ready or wanted to move out of the home town. I want to go to something different, busy, crowded and where there are more job opportunities.

Course Curriculum

Because it was interesting and helps me in my future career. The course was very helpful in terms of knowledge and practice as we have to be work experience as a part of the course. It also makes me aware of the way the society view childhood. A lot of policies were established after some serious cases.

Placement

8

This course has to lead me into a good job opportunity. Having a level 6 degree making my CV good very appealing to schools and nurseries. The topic and modules the university has covered are very helpful within the job and I was able to develop it further.

Events

8

Mental health, Chinese New year, freshers week, sports week with free access to the gym, bicycle week allow students to rent bicycles, Christmas market, exam preparation fair, clubbing every weekend.

Fees

I've applied England student finance so I didn't pay university anything. But it was still 9,000 per year.

Examination Structure

My course was an essay based course which usually writes essays for 2000 words. I have to submit 8 essays per year so on total I've submitted 24 essays for my entire university course. There was also one seen exam which you already know the question.

Faculty

9

The lecturers were very experienced and patient as they are very willing to support students outside lesson time and through emails. There were also a lot of support services for students like mental health, financially and students whose English is the second language.

Hostel

9

The first year, I applied for halls and I had received a room from the halls. Then the second and third year, I was renting a flat with my course mates. Both accommodations worked for me, yet I enjoyed the second year more as I know my flatmates very well.
