I liked the modules as they cover a wide range of topics integral to my field of interest. Moreover, the university is also known for its excellence in research and is well-ranked in the UK.
Course Curriculum
The course curriculum is quite vast in nature and is supported by current research studies so it's really good in that sense. However, we haven't been given any industrial exposure so that's a drawback.
Exams
My IELTS Academic Test Score: Overall 8, Minimum IELTS requirement: Overall 6.5
Placement
Swansea Employability Academy assists students in finding jobs. You can have one-on-one sessions with a career advisor to help you with the same. However, the university doesn't provide any placement opportunities by itself as such.
Internship
Not applicable.
Events
Due to covid, I haven't had any sort of campus experience so unfortunately, I can't say much about that. However, the university does make efforts to keep extracurricular activities via Zoom webinars for students to interact with each other. The library and IT facilities are quite easily accessible and there are a number of resources to help you out with the same.
Fees
£16,200 is the program fee.
Scholarship
Yes, I received a £4000 Thrive Bursary from the university. This bursary was automatically applicable for students pursuing Master's in September 2020 and January 2021 intakes.
Faculty
The faculty is quite well-versed and approachable. Most of them are available to contact by email, especially in times of covid when it's not possible to meet them in person, and they generally respond on a timely basis. Overall, they seem to be quite experienced in their profession so they provide valuable insights as to how to build a career path after completing Master.
Hostel
I'm living in a private accommodation off campus. The average cost of living off-campus is about £500 per month which includes rent and bills. You might have to spend additionally on food and outings.
