Sara Thompson Review at University Of Glasgow [GLA], Glasgow | Collegedunia

My way of living at the University of Glasgow

ST
6.7 /10

For its reputation of having a good university, the beauty of the city and the fact that there are not many universities doing neuroscience.

Course Curriculum :

The curriculum has been very involved and varied in terms of laboratory work and course material. The only thing I can say that could be changed is more communication with the students.

Exams :

A level score of AAB. 36 (6,6,5 HL) - 32 (6,5,5 HL) IB For additional requirements: HL Biology or Chemistry. AABB - BBBB Additional requirements for SQA: Higher biology or chemistry. Top-up or successful completion of one of our Summer Schools.

Placement :

They have very high placement opportunities, and many have a good idea of ??their next steps and have gained experience over the summer.

Internship :

I currently do freelance work for a company with which I have gained experience so I will continue with this and then look forward to starting a Masters.

Events :

The society and life around are a lot of fun, I have been a part of a few sports societies and they have been so inclusive and fun for everyone to get to know each other.

Fees :

$27930 is the program fee.

Scholarship :

No, I didn't receive any scholarship.

Faculty :

There is a wide range of staff and I have been fortunate enough to have a lovely mentor and supervisor so I have only seen the good in the neuroscience staff. However, I understand that many people have had problems with communication between students and staff.

Hostel :

I lived in student accommodation in the first year it cost around £600 a month and was attached so we were very lucky to have got very good conditions. Although it was overflow so not much choice.
